1. The definition of photovoltaic


Photovoltaic: is the abbreviation of solar photovoltaic power system (Solar power system). It is a new type of power generation system that uses the photovoltaic effect of solar cell semiconductor materials to directly convert solar radiation energy into electrical energy. It has independent operation and There are two ways of grid-connected operation.

3. Development status of photovoltaic industry


With policy support and technological progress, my country's photovoltaic industry has grown rapidly, with cost reductions and product upgrades accelerating. In this context, my country's photovoltaic application market has grown steadily, with both installed capacity and power generation continuously increasing.


From the perspective of power generation, as photovoltaic power generation continues to spread and installed capacity continues to increase, photovoltaic power generation is also increasing. In 2020, my country's photovoltaic power generation capacity was 2605 kWh, a year-on-year increase of 16.2%, accounting for 3.5% of total power generation.

From the perspective of installed capacity, data show that the cumulative installed capacity of photovoltaic power generation nationwide in 2019 reached 204.3GW, a year-on-year increase of 17.3%, of which centralized photovoltaic power generation was 141.67 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 14.5%; distributed photovoltaic power generation was 62.63 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 24.2%. As of 2020, the cumulative installed capacity of my country’s photovoltaic market is 253GW, and my country’s cumulative installed capacity of photovoltaics ranks first in the world for six consecutive years

In 2020, the country's newly installed photovoltaic capacity will be 48.2GW, including 32.68GW for centralized photovoltaic power stations and 15.52GW for distributed photovoltaic power plants. From the perspective of the newly installed capacity, the central and eastern and southern regions accounted for about 36%, and the "Three Norths" region accounted for 64%.

From the perspective of household photovoltaic installations, the newly-added household photovoltaic installed capacity in my country in 2019 was 4.18GW. The cumulative installed capacity of household photovoltaic projects included in the national fiscal subsidy scale in 2020 is 10.12GW. The newly added household photovoltaics have exceeded 10GW, and the accumulated annual growth rate has exceeded 100%!

Fourth, the development trend of the photovoltaic industry


1. Product performance continues to improve


Technological progress will continue to be the theme of the development of the photovoltaic industry. It is expected that the conversion efficiency of mainstream high-efficiency polycrystalline silicon cells in industrial production will exceed 20%, monocrystalline silicon cells are expected to reach 22.5%-23%, and the power of mainstream module products will reach 285W and 320W, respectively.


2. Further diversification of photovoltaic applications


Based on the wide distribution of light resources and the application flexibility characteristics of photovoltaic power generation, in recent years, the trend of cross-border integration of photovoltaic power generation in my country combined with different industries in application scenarios has become more prominent, such as water and light complementation, agriculture and light complementation, fishing and light complementation, etc. The application model is continuously promoted. It is expected that in 2020 and in the future, with the gradual deepening of the application of photovoltaic power generation in various fields.
