Solar power generation is a new field of energy saving and environmental protection. It is a project that is being promoted globally. It has evolved into photovoltaic power generation. At present, distributed photovoltaic power generation in China has become a pension investment project for many families, but many people still have Accessories are not well understood, such as photovoltaic inverters. Many engineering companies who are new to this industry still don’t know why photovoltaic inverters are used in solar photovoltaic power generation. Today I will take everyone to learn the basics!

Why use photovoltaic inverters in solar photovoltaic power generation?

The principle of solar photovoltaic power generation is a technology that uses the photovoltaic effect of the semiconductor interface to directly convert light energy into electrical energy. The key element of this technology is the solar cell. After the solar cells are connected in series, they can be packaged and protected to form a large-area solar cell module, and then combined with power controllers and other components to form a photovoltaic power generation device. The whole process is called a photovoltaic power generation system. The photovoltaic power generation system is composed of solar cell arrays, battery packs, charge and discharge controllers, photovoltaic inverters, AC power distribution cabinets, solar tracking control systems and other equipment.

  The role of photovoltaic inverters

Photovoltaic inverter is a device that converts direct current into alternating current. Since solar cells and storage batteries are DC power sources and the load is an AC load, inverters are essential. According to the operation mode, photovoltaic inverters can be divided into independent operation photovoltaic inverters and photovoltaic grid-connected inverters. The stand-alone photovoltaic inverter is used in stand-alone solar cell power generation systems to supply power to independent loads. Grid-connected inverters are used for grid-connected solar cell power generation systems. Solar cells generate direct current under sunlight. However, systems powered by direct current have great limitations. For example, fluorescent lamps, televisions, refrigerators, electric fans, etc. cannot be directly powered by a DC power supply, as are most electric machinery. In addition, when the power supply system needs to increase or decrease the voltage, the AC system only needs to add a transformer, and the technology of raising and lowering the voltage in the DC system is much more complicated. Therefore, in addition to special users such as communications and meteorology who directly use DC power, photovoltaic power generation systems that supply electricity for production and life need to be equipped with photovoltaic inverters.

The photovoltaic inverter is the core of the entire photovoltaic power generation system. It not only allows the photovoltaic power generation to operate normally, but also monitors the working status of the photovoltaic power station in real time, which brings convenience to the subsequent maintenance work!
